A reprocessing safeguard now tests the real behaviour, not just the wording

The check protecting against unnecessary reprocessing was verified by matching text rather than by reproducing the failure. It now simulates the condition directly, so if the safeguard were removed the test fails on the actual outcome — wasted reprocessing — rather than on a wording mismatch.
