Mike Lincoln: How Deals Get Done

Mike Lincoln, our attorney from Cooley Godward, stopped by AppMakr's San Francisco office last week.  He was in town visiting some West Coast investment banks.

Mike was carrying with him an envelope, on the back of which he had scribbled the names of 20 or so 'hot start ups to watch.'  The investment banks had asked him for recommendations of companies that might make good acquisitions.

I thought this was so intriguing that I asked Mike to take a picture holding his envelope, which is below.  This is truly how deals get done -- scribbled on the backs of envelopes.  Speaking of deals getting done, check out my fundraising manifesto, where I dig into how we raised $1MM in 14 weeks, with tips on how you can do it in less time than it took us.
